Taking a Moment

Dear Friends,

I'm taking a pause from my regular weekly email content to speak from the heart. At Beth Wonson & Company, we stand with the many who feel confused, disheartened, and deeply concerned about the turmoil unfolding in our country.

While we all recognize that our government systems have room for improvement, the current approach troubles me deeply. I'm reminded of my cherished time with the National Indian Youth Leadership Project, where Elders taught me the profound "7 Generations" principle. Before any significant decision, they would ask: "How will this impact our community and people 7 generations from now?"

I don’t believe the steps being taken currently are being thought out thoroughly and the collateral damage will be huge and long lasting.

My heart aches for those of you on the front lines—those working tirelessly to create pathways for people facing seemingly insurmountable obstacles. I send my deepest strength to each of you who pour your heart and soul into your mission, celebrating small victories while often feeling invisible or undervalued. I know this administration has only intensified these struggles.

Though I don't claim to have the solution, please know this: I stand with you. I will continue to advocate fiercely for you and those you serve—the people for whom your organization represents a lifeline of hope through dark times. At Beth Wonson & Company, supporting you and your teams remains our highest priority. We are not proceeding with business as usual—we are listening, we are present, and we stand firmly beside you.

If you have thoughts, strategies, or initiatives where our thought leadership and advocacy might help, please reach out to me personally.

My weekly emails will return next week. For those who find them educative, uplifting or smile-inducing, they'll be waiting. For those feeling overwhelmed right now, please feel free to take a break—we'll be here whenever you're ready to return.

Take gentle care of yourself. Know that we see you—truly see you—in all your dedication, struggle, and hope. And we are with you, every step of the way.

With unwavering support,

Beth and Andrea
